Tell Duke to Support Independent, Real Energy Efficiency Programs, Sack Save-a-WattAs families struggle with high energy prices, Duke Energy is proposing hefty premiums for small energy efficiency gains in its “Save-a-Watt” program. For example, an energy efficient light bulb that costs $1.65 at the store would cost $18.63 ultimately, under Duke’s proposal. The energy savings Duke projects, however, are 85% LESS than typical energy efficiency programs. Ask Duke to sack Save-a-Watt and to support an independent, real energy efficiency programs. |
